NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Belmont volleyball team returns home to the Curb Event Center this weekend to host Southeast Missouri and UT Martin.
The Bruins are coming off a 2-0 week where the squad swept both Jacksonville State and Tennessee Tech.
Freshman Jessica Vestal (Concord, Calif.) continues to lead Belmont in kills (235) and is tied for the first in aces (23.) Junior Scarlet Gable (Munford, Tenn.) has 229 kills on the season.
Senior setter Hannah Miranda (Convington, La.), who was tabbed the OVC Setter of the Week for her performance last week, has dished out 843 assists on the season. Senior libero Jamie Lundstrom (La Grange, Ill.) has registered 346 digs and is tied for first with 23 aces. Senior Jen Myer (New Braunfels, Tex.) has 241 digs this season while senior Allison McCoy (Huntington Beach, Calif.) is the team leader for blocks with 59.
Southeast Missouri (11-10, 3-3) sits in second place in the West Division. Colleen Yarber leads the way for the Redhawks in kills, averaging 3.21 per set, while Emily Coon averages 2.65 per set. As a team the Redhawks lead the OVC in blocks with a total of 161.
UT Martin (8-14, 3-4) is third in the league in assists, averaging 11.97 per set. Lynsey Hazelwood is the conference leader in aces at 30, while Emily Keaton leads the way with 2.78 kills per set.
The Bruins will take on Southeast Missouri Friday at 6:00pm before playing UT Martin on Saturday at 2:00pm.
