NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Belmont University softball team fell to Lipscomb Thursday afternoon, 13-0, in six innings of play.
Lipscomb (13-2) used a dominant pitching performance from right-hander Tanner Sanders and senior catcher Rena' Cothran went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI as the Bisons shutout the Bruins Thursday afternoon at Rose Park.
Sanders (5-1) stalled the Bruins' offense as Belmont only mustered a pair of runs on the contest.
Belmont (5-7) will be back in action Thursday, Mar. 6, as the Bruins begin their California road swing with a stop in Riverside, Calif. for a douleheader with UC Riverside starting at 2 p.m. CT.
