Seventh Place Start in Memphis

CORDOVA, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in seventh place after day one of the Memphis Intercollegiate held Monday at Colonial Country Club South Course in Cordova, Tennessee.

The Bruins posted rounds of 301 and 295 on Monday to finish the day in seventh place at 596.  Chattanooga is the team leader at 571, while Oral Roberts is in second at 577.

Two Belmont golfers are among the top-205 after 36 holes.  Senior Daniel Booker carded rounds of 74 and 73 for a total of 147 to stand in a tie for 17th place.  Sophomore Evan Davis is tied for 25th place at 149 after posting rounds of 71 and 78.

Other Belmont scores from day one included: senior Noah Trenkler (T-30, 150), freshman Coleman Jones (T-36, 151), sophomore Jack Uselton (T-46, 153).

Junior Brendan Lewis is competing as an individual and is tied for 42nd at 152.

The individual leader after two rounds is Chattanooga's Oliver Simonsen, who shot a 132.
