Sixth Place Finish in Memphis

CORDOVA, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Memphis Intercollegiate held this week on the South Course of Colonial Country Club in Cordova, Tennessee.

Belmont shot a final round team score of 298 to finish in sixth place at 894.  Chattanooga won the team title at 851, while host Memphis was second at 853.

Senior Daniel Booker led the way for the Bruins as he shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 16th place at 224.  It was his second straight top-20 finish.  Sophomore Evan Davis was two shots back and finished in a tie for 25th place at 223.

Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: freshman Coleman Jones (T-32, 224), senior Noah Trenkler (T-42, 229), and sophomore Jack Uselton (T-48, 230).

Junior Brendan Lewis competed as an individual and finished in 41st place at 228.

Chattanooga's Oliver Simonsen was the individual medalist at 195.

The men's golf team is off for a couple of weeks before returning to competition on October 1-2 at the Hummingbird Intercollegiate in Cashiers, NC.
