PINEHURST, N. C. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at this weekend's Pinehurst Intercollegiate held at the #8 Course in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The Bruins posted a team score of 300 in Sunday's final round to finish in a tie for seventh place with fellow OVC member Eastern Kentucky at 902. Davidson won the team title with a mark of 859, while Radford was second at 888.
Leading the way for Belmont once again was sophomore Evan Davis. The Lexington, Kentucky native posted his second straight top-10 finish as he tied for eighth place at 220. He shot a two-over 73 in the final round. Davidson's Clayton Tribus was the individual medalist at 210.
Other Belmont scores from the event included: senior Noah Trenkler (T-32, 227), senior Daniel Booker (T-35, 228), freshman Coleman Jones (T-55, 232), and sophomore Bogle LaRue (T-58, 233).
Senior Parker Buck competed as an individual and tied for 71st place at 237.
The men's golf team will be back in action on March 25-26 at the UNA Spring Classic in Florence, Alabama.
