NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team is back on the course this Monday and Tuesday at the Wofford Intercollegiate in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Belmont enters this week's event with some momentum after their runner-up finish at the UNA Spring Classic last week. Three Bruins finished among the top-10, including senior Noah Trenkler's third place showing, his third top-five finish of the season. His finish earned him OVC Golfer of the Week honors.
Senior Daniel Booker leads the team in scoring with a 72.7 average, which also ranks among the top-10 in the OVC. Sophomore Evan Davis is right behind Booker with a 73.0 average and three straight top-10 finishes.
This week's Wofford Intercollegiate is a two-day, 54-hole event with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. It will be held at the Country Club of Spartanburg, which will play to a par 72 and a length of 6,648 yards. The field features 16 teams, including three OVC squads: Belmont, Austin Peay, and Tennessee Tech.
The first round will begin Monday morning at 7:30am CT. Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com or Birdiefire.com.
