NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team is back in action this weekend at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The squad enters this weekend's event after tying for fourth place in their first tournament of the spring, the Invitational at Savannah Harbor last month. Sophomore Evan Davis finished second in the event, which earned him OVC Golfer of the Week honors.
Senior Daniel Booker leads BU with a 72.1 scoring average and has two top-10 finishes this season. Davis ranks second at 72.9 and also has two top-10 finishes.
This weekend's Pinehurst Intercollegiate is a three-day, 54-hole event, with 18 holes contested each day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). It will be held on Pinehurst's #8 course, which will play to a par 71 and a length of 6,937 yards. The field features 14 teams and includes the likes of Davidson, Dayton, FGCU, Xavier, and three OVC teams: Belmont, Eastern Kentucky, and Morehead State.
