PINEHURST, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in 10th place after the first round of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate held Friday on the Pinehurst #8 Course in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The Bruins carded a 303 on Day one to finish the day in 10th place. Davidson has the lead at 285, while Radford is second at 294.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-30. Sophomore Evan Davis picked up where he left off in Savannah and shot an even par 72 to stand in a tie for fourth place. He is five shots behind leader Clayton Tribus of Davidson. Sophomore Bogle LaRue is tied for 28th place after posting a 75 on Friday.
Other Belmont scores include: senior Noah Trenkler (T-38, 76), senior Daniel Booker (T-62, 80), and freshman Coleman Jones (T-62, 80).
Senior Parker Buck, competing as an individual, is tied for 57th after shooting a 79.
