NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team doesn't' have to travel too far for the their final regular season event as they compete at the Ryman Hospitality Invitational held this Monday and Tuesday at Nashville's Richland Country Club.
The squad enters this week's event after a fifth place finish at the Wofford Intercollegiate last week. Two Bruins finished among the top-20. Sophomore Evan Davis tied for 11th place, which marked his fourth top-15 finish of the spring season, while senior Daniel Booker placed 17th, which marked his fifth top-20 showing of the season.
These same two golfers lead the team in scoring. Booker ranks first with a 72.7 average, while Davis is second at 72.9.
This week's Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate, hosted by Lipscomb, is a two-day, 54-hole event, with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. It will be held at Nashville's Richland Country Club, which will play to a par 71 and a length of 6,943 yards.
The field is made up of 14 teams and features squads from Austin Peay, Bradley, FGCU, Lipscomb, Samford, and Xavier.
