The Ohio native, named Belmont Female Newcomer of the Year at the annual Bruins' Choice Awards Monday, ranks fourth nationally in strikeouts per seven innings.

She is the only pitcher in the nation with two 20-strikeout games this season.

For Murray State, Hannah James has carried her OVC successes into the MVC.

The standout pitcher leads in league in earned-run average and ranks second in opposing batting average.

This marks the third and final regular season meeting; Belmont and Murray State played two pitcher's duels previously, with the Racers claiming a pair of extra-inning, one-run decisions.
