NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University Volleyball (13–6, 4–4 MVC) continues Missouri Valley Conference play at home this weekend, beginning Friday night when the Bruins host Evansville inside the Curb Event Center at 6 p.m. CT.Â
Belmont will then take on Bradley on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT inside the Curb Event Center, while also celebrating Will's Match, honoring Will Lansdown—the brother of Belmont volleyball's Madison Lansdown—in support of Niemann-Pick Type C research. Five dollars from every ticket sold will be donated to NPC research through the Parseghian Fund.Â
Saturday's match against Bradley will stream live on ESPN+.Â
What's BruinÂ
- Belmont enters the weekend 13–6 overall and 4–4 in Missouri Valley Conference play, coming off two hard-fought five-set battles at Valparaiso and UIC.
- The Bruins have earned league victories over Murray State, Evansville, Southern Illinois, and Indiana State.Â
- In Belmont's win over Murray State, Lilly Lutz recorded her 1,000th career dig, while Brooke Gilleland reached 1,000 career kills.Â
- Gilleland was named Belmont Invitational MVP, while Lutz and Emily Warmenhoven earned All-Tournament Team honors.Â
- Brenna Kauffeld earned MVP honors at the Clocktower Tournament, with Gilleland and Lutz again named to the All-Tournament Team.Â
- Gilleland leads the offense with 242 kills, including a career-high 27 against Siena, and was recognized as Belmont's September Student-Athlete of the Month.Â
- Lutz anchors the defense with 313 digs, highlighted by a career-best 34 against Valparaiso.Â
- Setting duties are shared between Jordan Czajkowski (395 assists) and Alivia Keegan (343 assists). From the service line, Belmont has totaled 153 aces compared to opponents' 85, led by Gilleland with 38.Â
- As a team, Belmont is hitting .252 while holding opponents to a .193 average.Â
- The Bruins are led by first-year head coach Fritz Rosenberg and are in their fourth season in the Missouri Valley Conference after finishing 11–19 overall and 6–12 in league play last year.Â

- Evansville enters the weekend 6–14 overall and 2–7 in MVC play, with both conference wins coming against Indiana State.Â
- Junior libero Ainoah Cruz was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 8 and leads the team with 501 digs, averaging 5.08 per set.Â
- Freshman outside hitter Hinsley Everett paces the offense with 207 kills, averaging 2.69 per set.Â
- The Aces are led by head coach Zach Weinberg in his first fall season. Â
- Evansville finished 6–24 overall and 5–8 in MVC play in 2024.Â

- Bradley enters the weekend 8–12 overall and 2–6 in MVC play, earning wins over Evansville and Illinois State and coming off a pair of five-set losses.Â
- Senior libero Irene Mostardini, was named the Braves' September Student-Athlete of the Month and MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Sept. 9. She leads the team with 331 digs and 32 service aces.Â
- Redshirt freshman Tendai Titley headlines the attack with 217 kills and 40 blocks, while sophomore setter Maria Drapp directs the offense with 737 assists.Â
- The Braves are led by head coach Alicia Williams, now in her fourth season guiding the program after finishing 15–16 overall and 10–8 in MVC play last year.Â
