NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Men's Cross Country returns to action Friday morning for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships held at Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, Ind.
The men's team has had a successful season, finishing no lower than 15th in any meet. They claimed victory at the Belmont Opener, placed eighth at the Southern Showcase, achieved 15th at the highly competitive Gans Creek Classic at Mizzou, and finished ninth at the University of Alabama's Crimson Classic.
Key Bruin runners to watch include graduate student Andrew Hammel and senior Drew Brill. Hammel was the top Belmont finisher at both the Southern Showcase and Gans Creek Classic. Brill finished first for the team at the Belmont Opener, second at the Gans Creek Classic, and first at the Crimson Classic.
In the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Regional rankings, Belmont sits at No.15.
Fans can stay informed by following the team's Instagram and X accounts (@belmontxctf). Results will be posted immediately following competition. The women's 6K starts at 10:30 a.m. CT, with the men's 8K to follow at 11:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow both races.
