Women's Soccer Returns to Rose to Compete Against Samford

 
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - -Belmont Women's Soccer looks to extend its unbeaten streak as they host Samford on Thursday, Sept. 11, at E.S. Rose Park.

Lillie Tabor was named Missouri Valley Conference Defender of the Week.
 
What's Bruin

• The Bruins are currently unbeaten in their last five matches. Their defensive efforts have been notable, as the team has recorded four shutouts on the season.
• Anchored by the steady play of Lillie Tabor and Eliza Paisley and the back line, Belmont has established itself as one of the more resilient defensive units in the conference.
• Laken Whittington and Kaitlyn Elliott are tied for the most goals scored, providing the offensive spark for the Bruins.
• Reagan Ross continues to be a threat in the attack with consistent shot creation and pressure on opposing defenses.

Series History

• Belmont and Samford will meet for the second time in program history. The Bulldogs hold a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series, with the Bruins looking to secure their first win against the bulldogs.
• The last match up between the two programs came in 2014 at SU Soccer Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., where Belmont fell 2-0 while the Bruins were still a member of the Ohio Valley Conference.
