Brie Ashauer

Brie Ashauer begins her seventh full academic year with Belmont University Athletics in 2026-27.

Ashauer was promoted to associate athletic trainer June 1, 2026.

She has played an integral role in student-athlete care since her arrival to Belmont in the spring of 2021. As the primary athletic training contact for softball, and cross country, Ashauer spearheaded sports medicine, treatment, and recovery for Belmont's back-to-back NCAA Tournament softball program and All-American pitcher Maya Johnson.

Prior to her arrival, Ashauer served as an athletic trainer at The Andrew's Institute, serving as the head athletic trainer at Washington High School and serving as the PRN athletic trainer at the University of West Florida. She also worked as an athletic training intern for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Sioux Falls Flyer Youth Hockey. 

While obtaining her Masters degrees at South Dakota State, Ashauer served as a personal trainer for the SDSU Wellness Center in 2018 and served as a Graduate Assistant at NDSU. She also worked as an intern for Bellin Health in addition to volunteering her time at the NCAA Division I Hockey Regional in Sioux Falls, S.D. along with various camps. 

In addition to receiving her Masters, Ashauer obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion Wellness from the University of Wisconsin-Seven Points.
