Steve Barrick is Associate Athletic Director/Director of Facilities at Belmont University.

Barrick has more than three decades of service at Belmont, both as coach and senior administrator.

He serves as the primary point person for all Belmont Athletic event scheduling, facility management, equipment maintenance and utilization of all athletic controlled facilities. Barrick is also the primary liaison between the athletic department and the Curb Event Center staff.

Barrick, who has sport oversight for men's tennis, has also been part of the planning and realization teams on the Curb Event Center and latest venture, E.S. Rose Park.

Prior to his role in athletic administration, Barrick spent nine years as an assistant women's basketball coach for Belmont. He was instrumental in the development of standout players Aimee Smith, Chrissie Herring and Kelli Davis.

Barrick's career in athletics began in 1981 as the head girls' basketball coach at St. Cecilia Academy-Dominican Campus. Over the next decade, he also served as athletic director, physical education teach, and head coach for volleyball, cross country and girls' basketball at Overbrook School.

A Nashville native, Barrick attended nearby Hillwood High School before earning a bachelor's degree in advertising and master's degree in recreation administration from Western Kentucky University.

Barrick and his wife, Jan, have three sons: Houston, Johnson and Sanders.

Houston, a graduate of the University of Virginia, is the Director of Tennis for the University of Richmond men’s and women’s programs.

Johnson earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Belmont University. 

Sanders is a recent graduate of Mississippi College where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees. 

Jan is a Belmont University alumna, having played tennis for program matriarch Betty Wiseman.

Steve and Jan also have seven grandchildren. Â
