Women's Cross Country Prepares for Conference Competition

Belmont to Compete at Angel Mounds on Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Belmont women's cross country returns to action Friday morning at Angel Mounds State Historical Site in Evansville, Ind. for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships.
The women's team has shown consistent performance throughout the season, placing second at the Belmont Opener, 24th at the Southern Showcase, and 16th at the Gans Creek Classic in Colombia, Mo.

Freshman Sophie Nicholls has been a top point earner, finishing first for Belmont in each of the team's four regular-season meets.

This weekend with offer the Bruins a chance to compete against top ranked teams such as Bradley and Illinois State.

Fans can stay informed by following the team's Instagram and X accounts (@belmontxctf). Results will be posted immediately following competition. The women's 6K starts at 10:30 a.m. CT, with the men's 8K to follow at 11:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow both races.
