NASHVILLE, Tenn. - -Â Belmont University women's track & field had a highly-successful showing in the Indoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt University Feb. 14-15.

Highlighting the top finishes were two new school records.
Alexa Fortman posted a blazing 800m time of 2:09.05, eclipsing her own record set just two weeks prior.

Meanwhile,Â
Rachel Soukup broke the program record in the 3000m with a time of 9:27.13.

Accompanying Soukup and Fortman in the Bruin charge were eight other participants who fought their way to the top 10.

Sophia Harvey had a first-place finish in the 600m, running for 1:35.47.

In the same event, Carlota Salgado Garcia placed seventh for her time of 1:37.51.

Chelsea Mitchell placed sixth in the long jump invite at 5.76 meters.
Â
Garcia placed ninth in the standard open long jump at 5.39 meters.

Rebekah Stucker placed eighth and ninth respectively in the weight throw, with marks of 18.38 meters and 18.20 meters.

Stucker also earned fifth place in shot put (14.24 meters).Â
Gray finished in ninth place in the shot put invite (14.84 meters).
Brooke Garter ran the mile in 4:45.41 earning her sixth place.Â
Fortman added to her showing, posting 1:32.53 in the 600m invite to earn fourth.
Jennifer Mims finished in ninth place in the 400m (56.95 seconds).
Grace Litzinger came home eighth in the 3000m (9:31.37).
Belmont returns to competition in the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships March 2-3 in Chicago.
