NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's track and field delivered strong performances across the board competing in the Brent Chumbley Memorial Hilltopper Relays and the Raleigh Relays this past weekend.

The women had 15 top-10 performances, nine of which were in the top three.

Most notably, at the Raleigh Relays
Grace Litzinger broke the Belmont school record in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 10:25.52 to place 20th in a deep, talented field.

Meanwhile,
Logan Gray finished in sixth in shot put with a measure of 15.04m. She also set a personal record on her final throw in the hammer to stand second on the Missouri Valley Conference best list.

In Bowling Green,
Jennifer Mims earned first place in the 400m hurdles, running 1:01.99.

McKenna Prouty finished first in the high jump, with a measure of 1.68m.
Â
Sophia Harvey, 2:17.35, and Bella Domare, 2:17.44, placed first and second respectively in the 800m.

Kate Briscoe placed first in the javelin, with a measure of 40.95m.
Â
Devin Moore placed first in the 400m with a time of 1:00.29.
Â
Emory Moore placed second in the 100m in a time of 12.33 seconds.

Nicola Van Der Merwe placed third in the pole vault, at 3.37m.
Â
The Bruins return to competition at the Joe Walker Invite at the University of Mississippi next Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.
