Women's Track & Field Flourish at Alabama

Stucker, Gray, Mims Deliver Strong Performances, Among MVC Leaders

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's track & field turned in strong showings this past weekend at the University of Alabama.

In Tuscaloosa at the Crimson Tide Invitational, the Bruins delivered an impressive six top-10 finishes in a deep and talented field.

As expected, Belmont shined in the throw events behind the decorated duo of Rebekah Stucker and Logan Gray.

Stucker earned third place in the hammer with a personal-best of 59.35m, good enough for top billing in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Meanwhile, Gray placed fourth in the shot put at 16.01m; Stucker was close behind with a mark of 13.95m.

Jennifer Mims maintained her high level of performance, placing sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.45. It broke her personal-best by nearly two seconds and is among the best times in the MVC this season.

Stucker and Gray also earned top-10 placement in the discus to cap their impressive meets.

Belmont returns to action April 18-19 in the Georgia Tech Invitational.
