ATLANTA - - Belmont University women's track & field made a name for itself this weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational from George C. Griffin Track.

Middle distance and throw events once again showcased the Bruins' strength.

Logan Gray placed second in the shot put with a mark of 15.19m. She also placed seventh in the hammer throw (54.64m) and 12
th in the discus (42.37m).

Teammate
Rebekah Stucker posted a personal-best in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.60m. She also had a season-best in the discus (46.69m) and placed fifth in the shot put (14.44m).

Alexa Fortman placed fourth in the 800m with a time of 2:09:59.
Sophia Harvey had a season-best time of 2:10.97 to place 11
th.

Gray, Stucker, and Fortman are all well-positioned for conference podiums and NCAA east regional placement.

Emory Moore continues to contribute well in the 100m and 400m while
Jennifer Mims has emerged as one of the top freshmen in the MVC in the 400m hurdles.

Belmont returns to action May 2-3 in the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt.
